The Crags finally have their information ‘totem poles’!
After much collaboration between Friends of the Crags and community company Shed Heads of Edlington, the first of the beautifully carved information poles were unveiled this week.
Friends chairman Tony Sellars and the Shed Heads staff posed with the posts to show off their various faces.
And as you can see, they are exquisite pieces of work – detailing the many historical features all across the Crags park site.
Each pole was twice its current length but they have been halved, to fit in elevated post holders.
Final positions for the posts are now being agreed and work to begin erecting them will begin after that.
