Work by Friends of The Crags and Doncaster Council is at long last set to begin again, following the long Covid-19 break and lockdowns.
The Friends and DMBC are looking at ways to make the area both safer and more amenable, as efforts resume to turn the Crags into a country leisure park.
After a recent inspection the council is considering ‘crowning’ the tops of trees to help bring back the magnificent views from the Crags over the surrounding countryside.
And new benches are being considered, at viewpoints over the rivers Don and Dearne.
Work will also restart of the provision of ‘totel poles’ marking the main entrances to the Crags site.
Watch this space, as more exciting new ventures will begin in the coming weeks and months, Coronavirus permitting!
